NFL Great Taylor Due Back in NY Court on Rape Case

NEW CITY, N.Y. (AP) – Pro football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor is returning to court on his rape case in suburban New York.

Taylor’s the case is to be called in Rockland County Court. Defense lawyer Arthur Aidala described the court session as a status conference. District Attorney Thomas Zugibe (ZOO’-guh-bee) said Wednesday he wasn’t sure what would happen.

The ex-NFL MVP is accused of paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old Bronx runaway in a suburban hotel room in May. He’s pleaded not guilty to third-degree rape and other charges.

A new judge, state Supreme Court Justice William Kelly, has taken over the case.

OJ Simpson Denied New Trial in Las Vegas

A judge in Las Vegas has rejected O.J. Simpson's bid for a new trial in the robbery of two sports memorabilia collectors. Probably because it would be pointless.

Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass said Friday the issues raised by lawyers for Simpson and co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart don't merit a second trial.

Glass acknowledged during a hearing that the ruling paves the way for Simpson and Stewart to appeal to the Nevada Supreme Court.

Oh boy, all the way to the supreme court OJ?Source

Gary Coleman Pleading Not Guilty

Gary Coleman pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and reckless driving Tuesday says his lawyers.

According to court documents, Coleman, his wife and his bodyguard were bowling in early September when Colt Rushton took a few photos of Coleman with his cell-phone camera and took a few more of Coleman’s truck in the parking lot.

“He simply acted accordingly with what normal human beings would do,” Kester said. “He never intend to do anything but come there in peace and leave there in peace. Had it not been that he’s Gary Coleman, we wouldn’t even be talking about it.”, says Gary’s lawyer, Dustin Lance.

Lance said he’s not concerned with Coleman’s plea.
